Friday, May 3 - Tuesday, May 7 2019
Escape the city and recharge with a four-night yoga retreat in a tranquil, rural spot in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.
This city switch-off retreat will take place on the beautiful Black Isle - just thirty minutes outside Inverness - with myself, Serena Lee, leading yoga and meditation, and vegan foodie, supper club host and part-time Highlander Emi Leese preparing nourishing food throughout the break.
Following a beautiful retreat experience in September 2017, Emi and I are hosting another - in the same, peaceful Highlands location, but this time in the height of Spring.
We will practise Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga throughout the course of the retreat, encompassing both dynamic and restorative styles. Yoga will be led by myself, Serena Lee, with all abilities welcome. I trained in Malaysia and have been teaching since 2015, and can’t wait to share teachings with you.
Practice will take place outdoors in an orchard, a meadow or in the woods if the weather is suitable. Otherwise, we will be indoors in the large conservatory of a refurbished listed farmhouse. The conservatory has underfloor heating and glass walls on three sides, looking out onto greenery with no other people or buildings in sight!
With only six spaces available, you'll receive the individual attention during the practice that's difficult to find in busy city classes.
You will stay in a luxurious, eco-friendly cottage with spectacular views from both inside and outside the house, a wood-burning stove and an outdoor dining deck. You’ll have access to the cottage’s large cedar sauna with a one-way glass window offering magnificent views over the Cromarty Firth to Ben Wyvis. The cottage is next door to the farmhouse.
Red kites, osprey, deer, hare, swallows and many other small birds are regular visitors.
Bedroom 1 - king-sized bed, en suite bathroom. Perfect for a couple or two friends sharing. Single supplement option available - please arrange via email.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 - two twin beds in each room
The cottage & farmhouse are located near Inverness - regular flights/trains operate to Inverness and transfers will be arranged for you.
We will eat in the farmhouse, family-style. Homemade vegan food will be prepared by Emi (Emi’s Good Eating). Breakfast cereals, bread, fruit, spreads, oatmilk and coffee/tea will be provided in the cottage.
Some gluten-free options, but not suitable for coeliacs.
