Trying The Pranamat Eco

One of my friends bought a Pranamat for her boyfriend’s birthday last month and I decided to give it a go, with the aim of “fostering deep sleep" - something I’ve not experienced for a long time. I ended up being gifted one myself, so thought I would share my experience with it so far.

It's like a modern bed of nails! It's supposed to help sleep and induce relaxation, and help with headaches too (which I thankfully rarely suffer from). I tried it out for about 20 minutes on the first go, and it actually was so relaxing! You know when something is mildly painful but you know it's safe, so you relax and let go, and suddenly feel super calm? (Reminded me of birth …)

The first thing that happened was a sensation of pure heat, followed by little nerve spark feelings around my body after I relaxed. I’ve been planning on having longer Pranamat sessions since getting my own, but haven’t managed longer than twenty minutes. Even that, though, is enough to feel as though I’ve stepped into a little self care for the day.

My next goal is to take a nap on it! If you’re quite short like me (160cm), I’m not sure the pillow is necessary, as the back mat might reach your head anyway.
