Absurd Bird

You're looking at one of our favourite dishes so far this year 🤤 and a totally unexpected one too, from a fried chicken restaurant. @absurdbirduk invited me down to try their new vegan options and I said yes without checking the menu, just up for trying a burger. We ended up sharing their vegan chicken & waffles, the tenders, and the battered cauliflower & broccoli. The batter was perfectly done, but our minds were blown when it came to the chicken & waffles. The waffles are hands down the best we've ever tried - vegan or not. We'll be back for more. And the chicken is so well done! This was one of the last places we would have thought to offer lots of dedicated vegan options now we just have to up the demand so much that they turn a branch vegan.
