I bought a Nutribullet a few days ago and have been swimming in a blissful bowl of smoothie ever since! I thought I'd share the recipe for the first smoothie bowl I made with it :)
Ingredients:
1 banana
1 scoop filled with 1/3 hemp, 1/3 brown rice and 1/3 pea protein powders
1tbsp flax seeds
1tsp wheatgrass
1tsp barley grass
1/2tsp maca powder
a few pumpkin seeds
goji berries
Throw it all in, apart from the goji berries which are for making your smoothie bowl Instagram-worthy and because they're sweet and delicious!
I use pure protein powders and mix them together, as the brand I used to buy involved some digestive concoction whose ingredients I didn't recognise. Turns out I digest it fine without the cellumethawhatthehellalase.
This smoothie contains over 20g protein. I had this after my morning practice - although it's easy to get enough protein on a whole-foods, plant-based diet, I like that punch after exercise and it's a good way of getting a lot of superfoods in as well as the protein!
